“Good” fonts is more subjective than objective. What one person thinks is good (“cool-looking”) would be terrible to me (lack of Unicode compatibility and limited international character support).
“Good” entirely depends upon your specific needs and goals. You may need fixed-width fonts, or full international character support (myself speaks, reads and writes five different languages, so English-Only fonts are useless to me).
There are plenty of good free web-based fonts with appropriate licenses available. I would suggest downloading some of them and constructing a test website using them to see how they actually perform.
